Jennifer J. Raab, the president of Hunter College in New York City, will deliver the keynote speech at the 18th Annual Kate Stoneman Day, to be held March 21, 2012, at Albany Law School. As the keynote speaker, Raab will also receive the law school?s Miriam M. Netter ?72 Award.
Three other women will receive Kate Stoneman Awards at the event:
Hon. Elizabeth A. Garry ?90, State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division Third Judicial Department
Hon. Joan Kohout ?74, Monroe County Family Court
Lisa Codispoti ?95, posthumously, National Women?s Law Center
Crain?s New York Business named Raab as one of the ?50 Most Powerful Women in New York? in 2009 and 2011, as well as one of the city?s ?100 Most Influential Women in Business? in 2007. Prior to becoming president of Hunter in 2001, she served as chairman of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and practiced law as a litigator with Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. She earned her law degree at Harvard Law School.
